I’ve haven’t posted about my Space Pops comic strip in a while. So I thought I’d take a few minutes and write a little update.
It wasn’t long ago that I decided to stop posting new cartoons until I sort out what I’m trying to say. And that’s what I’ve been doing.
It hasn’t been the most pleasant work, but there is nothing more rewarding than discovering your own story, and figuring out how to express it artistically.
Every day I get a little bit closer. And soon I’ll be ready to draw a really awesome comic strip for everyone to enjoy!
Until then, I will leave you with an inspiring quote that spoke to me.
Good things take time. Great things take a long time. And the best things take the longest time.
While rushing around the city the other day, I was struck by how beautiful the Tribune Tower is.
There are many wonderful stone artifacts embedded in the wall outside the building.
This stone from the Union Stock Yards gate is a reminder that for many years, Chicago was “the hog butcher for the world”. The Yards opened in 1865, and closed in 1971.
